Shopping is most definitely a reason to be cheerful, is it not? Unless of course, you’re at the beginning of the most expensive month known to man, and really cannot afford to be buying things at the moment. Like me.
But window shopping can also be fun, so today I tagged along with my Mum to Ikea where she was looking for some garden furniture and I was… well, just looking.
Of course, my Mum is the best, and with some hefty wedding-related conversations going on, it was inevitable that I would come back with something. A few flower/candle vessels to be precise. Whilst my glass jar collection is doing well, I could do with some larger vessels- “for the hydrangea heads”, so my Mum reasoned. If you say so, Mum! (We have a similar weakness for spending money as each other…)
I did spot one of these though, which would come in handy for the drinks reception and an evening ‘smoking arena’ for those who partake in the habit. And only £89! It seems like a bargain to me, especially as they’re a damn sight prettier than some of the small marquees you can hire.
And desperate as I am for a decent office/study, I was also rather taken by this set of Micke units. Compact, modern, and with lots of varied storage space.
Ikea. The place to go when you want to make your home space feel totally and utterly inadequate.
But perhaps the most interesting thing that has happened to me today is this…
Ooooh…. Intrigued? You should be. Operation Get Good Hair Part 3, coming soon.
