Friday Fringe Porn

Just some eye-candy for you today in the form of fabulous fringes from around the wedding world.  And I’m talking the attached-to-the-head kind, as opposed to the fabric kind used to edge clothing or material.  As you know from this post, I shall be (attempting) to rock a fringe on my wedding day, but whereas I am having a constant battle with mine to remain thick and in place, these ladies have been majorly blessed by the fringe fairies.

I could honestly perv over images like these for hours.

This beautiful bride has one of the glossiest fringes I have ever seen.  It’s very 60’s in style, and with the ‘Jackie O’ veil, heavily-lined eyes and gorgeous vintage-style photography, this wedding is up there as one of my all-time favourites.  If you haven’t seen the wedding in full before, go check it out now! (Or right after you’ve  finished this little post ;))

Doesn’t this bride have the most incredible head of hair you’ve ever seen?  The fringe, the colour, the messy fish plait… they just all combine to create a bohemian and very unique look. Love.

Now this little beauty has been saved in one of my image folders for many many moons.  Unfortunately I have NO IDEA where it came from and my internet searches have proved useless.  If you are the photographer or you know where these images came from, please get in touch because I need to credit you!  But I couldn’t resist posting as she is sporting the cutest little fringe and general hair loveliness that I’ve ever seen.  She is also wearing a stunning vintage dress which, as I recall, had a lovely story but I can’t find the flipping wedding anywhere.  That’ll learn me.  If you can help, please leave a comment!

*** Update: As you can see from the credit above, I was pointed towards the truly talented Emma Case (thank you Gillian and Eliza!), who confirmed that she did indeed take these photos.  She also kindly sent me the whole wedding link- do click here to view the whole thing; it’s STUNNING. ***

Fringes galore in this Golden Gypsy Inspiration Board from Green Wedding Shoes. And the first (and only) blonde fringe of the post!  Is it just me or are the majority of fringe-wearers brunette?  Until I found this lovely lady above I could only find images of Kate Hudson from Bride Wars.  (And I much prefer her fringe-less.)

Colour aside, it’s the gold sequinned dress and the flower garland from the top image that does it for me the most. ‘Bohemian bling’ they call it on Green Wedding Shoes.  Whatever it is, I love it and the dress (and hair) images are firmly pinned on my Pinterest board.  Just trying to work out if Paul would freak if I walked down the aisle in gold sequins…

And for my final foray in to Fringe-dom…

Check out her hair!! Seriously. How cool is this bride?  This was one of the first weddings I truly loved when I discovered wedding blogs a couple of years ago.  It was featured on Rock n Roll Bride and introduced me to the AMAZING work of Chloé Browne at Caught The Light.

It is, simply, an incredibly unique (and chic!) look.  Love the plait, love the beehive, love the pearls… And don’t even get me started on the colour.  Bravos all round I think.

So we there we go.  I think that’s quite enough fringes for one day; I need to go and have a lie-down…

Anyone else a fan of a fringe? And have I used the word ‘fringe’ enough today? Fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe, fringe…..

I’ll be back Monday with a BIG and possibly controversial post about bridesmaids. Have a fab weekend!

  1. Lovely wee write up. I am a big fan of wedding fringe, sporting a wee chunky myself. The pics you were looking to identify look very much like Emma Case. Thanks for featuring our work. X
